The media is really trying to milk the Virginia Tech massacre for all that they can. Now they are trying to highlight the Internet’s involvement with the massacre. The fact is that most people in college uses eBay, e-mail, and makes purchases on the Internet.
While this case might highlight that people can make weapon purchases and supplies on the Internet, this is definitely nothing new, and should not be a surprise. Maybe there will be some overreactions to this, but the reality is that the gun lobby will argue against it, and inevitably nothing will be done. Maybe except for a few news headlines here and there, like it is something shockingly new.
