I must admit that I am truly baffled by people wanting to run out and buy Vista. It just doesn’t make sense to me. I am not a Microsoft basher who thinks that Vista is inherently evil, however why ruin a perfectly good computer?

Basically, Vista will be more processor intensive than the previous versions of Windows. This means that the computer will run slower, even assuming that the applications will be compatible with Vista. Maybe if you have a supped up computer, it will be ok. However while I do think that the Mac computers are very misleading as they make fun of the new Vista release, it is true that it is basically performing brain surgery to update to Vista.

When you do buy a new computer and you choose Windows over other operating systems, Vista is your only choice. Likewise, companies should cycle in new computers and incorporate Vista that way.

I will personally admit that I have been looking to purchase a new computer for a month, and I held off to wait for Vista. The sales people did tell me that I would get a Vista upgrade when it became available, however the hardware would not be able to support it very well. Now that Vista computers are available, I however am not running out to buy one. I will wait a few weeks to let millions of other people beta test Vista for me. Just like the bugs in the early versions of the newest Xbox, there will very likely be bugs in Vista. I want to thank all of the fools in advance for running out to be the first geek on the block to buy the software, so that you can test it for me.
